Eliminate contaminants from your pool water with NanoFilters. Alongside the 2024 ProLine™, NanoFilters is the most advanced filtration yet. A unique combo of typical Dolphin performance and everyday usability, NanoFilters are among the most powerful Dolphin pool robots.
The first generation of Dolphin filters were plastic mesh. While these cartridges filters are great for larger debris, they cannot capture smaller particles as efficiently.
As technology evolved, so did the filtration systems. With NanoFilters, you don't have to choose. Capture the larger debris, while also capturing algae, dirt, and more that would pass through the standard filter.
NanoFilters help increase water transparency. Gone are the days of cloudy pool water. NanoFilters are made via a micro-pore spun polyester fabric made up of small fibers. These fibers allow water to pass through freely while effectively trapping even the smallest particles.
Utilizing a mechanical process called sieving, which determines which particles can pass through, NanoFilters can stop the most difficult particles. From vacteria, algae, oil, leaves, and more, NanoFilters are able to clean what no other robot has before.
Swap filter types in seconds. In under a minute, you can have your robot equipped and ready to go. Clean your pool like never before and join thousands of other pool owners that love NanoFilters.
At Pool Express, we want you to love your robot. Unlike the other guys, we never charge a restocking fee. If you decide that it's not the right fit for you, returning your order is easy and hassle-free.
Just as you wouldn't settle for a vacuum cleaner that only picks up large debris and ignores the finer particles, the same principle applies to selecting a pool cleaner. The standard mesh filters found in many Dolphin models, while effective for larger debris, often fall short when it comes to capturing finer materials like sand, silt, and algae. This gap in performance means that despite the automation these robots offer, you still may have to intervene to ensure your pool stays clear and healthy. But not anymore.
With the introduction of the Dolphin ProLine and Max-Series, engineers at Maytronics introduced NanoFiltration. Avaliable on the most powerful robots in the Dolphin product range, NanoFilters combine high-performing filters and comprehensive everyday usability.
There are two types of filters available on modern robotic pool cleaners. The basic filter included with most pool robots is a large pore, plastic mesh filter. Because filters work via a mechanical process called sieving, these pore sizes are what stops debris in its tracks. Typically found on discount pool cleaners, this mesh filter is fine for trapping large particles, but it allows smaller particles to pass right through it.
The second generation of robotic pool cleaner filters is the NanoFilter. This highly-efficient filter prevents and captures contaminants that circulate in the water you swim in. Made of a micro-pore polyester fabric, this filter looks noticeably different than the standard mesh filters. With deep pleated ridges and a larger surface area, these filters capture more waterbourne particles while maintaining a low resistance to waterlfow.
Both types of filters can capture large leaves, sediment, and even insects. At the heart of NanoFiltration is its innovative design. Unlike traditional filters that target either large or small pool contaminants, NanoFilters efficiently capture both.
Made out of polyester, these filters have another advantage often overlooked: the ability to absorb oil. Sunscreen and other contaminates can cause an oil slick on the surface or waterline of your pool. Due to polyester's nature to absorb this, NanoFilters effectively remove oil. To remove, simply spray and wash the filters. NanoFilters ability to improve water clarity is unmatched.
The Dolphin Premier, Dolphin Quantum, and Dolphin Sigma all include NanoFilters with the unit. There are optional NanoFilter panels available for the Dolphin Escape and Dolphin Cayman as well (available for free at Pool Express for a limited time).
